Fuel extraction units for petrol, diesel, E85 & oils in the car workshop

Professional extraction units for fuels and oils – PIUSI Cambiaolio and Vacubox for engine-oil suction, TankQuick eco and 100F2 for the safe extraction of petrol, diesel and E85 with a vapour-balancing system and equipotential bonding. From €79 accessories up to €3,076.

✅ Oil & fuel (petrol / diesel / E85) ✅ 7.5 – 10 l/min flow rate ✅ Vapour-balancing system & equipotential bonding ✅ PIUSI · TankQuick

PIUSI – oil suction

The PIUSI Cambiaolio M (€710.95) with a 10-litre tank, 6 suction probes and 2–10 l/min for targeted engine-oil suction. The PIUSI Vacubox (€891) with an electric gear pump (1–10 l/min, 230V) for continuous oil suction in the workshop. Both with a vacuum indicator and a pressure switch.

TankQuick – fuel extraction

The TankQuick eco (€2,169, compressed air, 7.5 l/min, 110 L) and TankQuick 100F2 (€3,076, with a vapour-balancing system and equipotential bonding) for petrol, diesel and E85. Suitable for extracting fuel from vehicle tanks – with overfill protection and Ex-protection components.

TankQuick 100B – interchangeable container

The TankQuick 100B container (€1,332, 100 L) is a standalone collection container with overfill protection and a chassis for fuel extraction – matching the TankQuick device series. The interchangeable TankQuick eco container (€613, 120 L / 110 L usable capacity) is also available as an extension.

Probes & adapters

PIUSI probe sets for the Vacubox in 650+800 mm (€90.95) or 1000 mm (€79.94) lengths for various vehicle tank depths. An adapter set for the TankQuick (€186) with a DN 4 suction hose and an adapter for flexible fuel lines (Ø 11 mm).

The right extraction unit for oil or fuel

Extracting engine oil – PIUSI Cambiaolio

For precise engine-oil suction through the dipstick tube: PIUSI Cambiaolio M (€710.95) – a 10 L tank, 6 suction probes, infinitely variable 2–10 l/min, 230V, a vacuum indicator. Ideal for cars and light commercial vehicles without opening the drain plug.

⚙️

Continuous oil suction – Vacubox

For stationary oil-suction points with a higher throughput: PIUSI Vacubox (€891) – an electric gear pump, 1–10 l/min, a 1/2" BSP connection, 230V. Extendable with separate probe sets (€79–91) for various suction depths.

Extracting fuel – TankQuick

For petrol, diesel and E85 from vehicle tanks: TankQuick eco (€2,169, compressed air, 110 L) or TankQuick 100F2 (€3,076, vapour balancing + equipotential bonding). PIUSI oil units are not suitable for fuel – Ex protection is mandatory.

💨

What is a vapour-balancing system?

The vapour-balancing system of the TankQuick 100F2 returns the fuel vapours displaced when filling the extraction container back into the vehicle tank – preventing the release of petrol vapour into the workshop. In many federal states this is mandatory for commercial fuel extraction.

What is equipotential bonding?

Static charge can build up when extracting petrol. The equipotential bonding of the TankQuick 100F2 connects the vehicle and the device in an electrically conductive way and prevents sparking. A mandatory component for the commercial extraction of highly flammable fuels.

🔧

Compressed air or electric?

The TankQuick eco is operated with compressed air (min. 7 bar) – no power connection, no electric motor in the Ex zone. PIUSI devices run on 230V – only for oil suction without Ex-protection requirements. For fuel extraction, electric drives are permitted only with Ex protection.

Frequently asked questions about fuel & oil extraction

No – the PIUSI Cambiaolio and Vacubox are approved exclusively for oils, not for flammable fuels. Fuels require Ex-protected devices with a vapour-balancing system and equipotential bonding (TankQuick). Petrol has a very low flash point (below −20 °C) and forms ignitable mixtures even at room temperature – electric motors without Ex protection could ignite these.
When filling the extraction container, air containing fuel vapours is displaced. The vapour-balancing system of the TankQuick 100F2 directs this vapour-laden air back into the vehicle tank instead of into the workshop. This protects staff from benzene-vapour exposure and prevents explosive atmospheres. The limitation of fuel-vapour emissions in commercial operations is regulated by the German TA Luft (clean-air directive) and occupational-safety regulations.
TankQuick eco (€2,169): compressed-air operated (min. 7 bar), 110 L usable capacity, for petrol/diesel/E85 – a low-cost entry for workshops with a compressed-air connection. TankQuick 100F2 (€3,076): with a vapour-balancing system, equipotential bonding and a higher safety standard – for workshops with a higher extraction volume and stricter occupational-safety requirements. The 100F2 is the more professional, safer and more complete solution.
Suction probes are flexible or rigid tubes that are inserted into the oil sump through the dipstick opening. Different vehicles have different distances (opening to oil pan), hence probes in several lengths. The PIUSI probe sets 650+800 mm and 1000 mm cover most cars and light commercial vehicles. Suitable only for the PIUSI Vacubox – check compatibility with the extraction unit when purchasing.
The commercial extraction of fuels from vehicle tanks is subject to the German Occupational Safety Act, the Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV) and, where applicable, emission-control law. Special requirements apply to: adequate ventilation of the workshop, the use of Ex-protected devices, the limitation of fuel-vapour emissions (TA Luft). A special permit for the extraction unit itself is generally not required – however, the operation of the workshop must comply with the relevant regulations. Consult your operational safety officer and the responsible employers' liability insurance association (BG).
Oil suction through the dipstick tube (PIUSI Cambiaolio, Vacubox) has the following advantages over draining via the drain plug: no hot oil flows over hot engine and exhaust parts. No risk of a damaged drain-plug thread. The oil change is cleaner and faster, especially with vehicles with a hard-to-reach drain plug. The mechanic does not lie under the vehicle. Disadvantage: not all the used oil is removed – a residue (approx. 5–15%) remains in the dead space of the oil pan.
