Complete IBC systems

TECALEMIT HORNET W85H INOX (48 l/min, 230V) as a ready-to-operate complete system for IBC containers and 200 L drums. Samoa Bluematic EMP-230V and the Flux Juniorflux set for professional dispensing.

Which AdBlue® pump suits which application?

🚜

Agriculture & farm

For the occasional refuelling of tractors and machinery straight from the 200 L drum: PIUSI Suzzarablue (12V/24V) on the tractor battery or the PIUSI lever hand pump with no energy source at all – rugged and low-maintenance.

🚛

Fleet & trucks

For the regular refuelling of several vehicles: TECALEMIT HORNET W85H INOX as a complete IBC system (48 l/min, 230V) with an automatic nozzle – ready to install straight away for IBC containers and 200 L drums.

🏗️

Construction site & mobile

For flexible use without a fixed power connection: PIUSI Kit 12V & 230V (portable, ready to use straight away) or the Flux Combiflux with a battery motor – no cable, no compressor needed.

🏭

Workshop & operation

For stationary workshop use: the PIUSI SQUALO35 submersible pump directly in the IBC (35 l/min, 230V) or PIUSI Suzzarablue Basic SB325 with IBC mounting – clean, compact and permanently installed.

📦

IBC container emptying

For the complete emptying of 1000 L IBC containers: the Flux Juniorflux set for AdBlue® (57 l/min, 1000 mm immersion depth) or the HORNET W85H INOX IBC compact pump system – with an 8 m dispensing hose and automatic nozzle.

Emergency & backup

When the power fails or only small quantities are needed: the Pressol SRL 1000 hand pump (€49, 50 l/min) for 60/200/220 L containers – or the PREMAxx Set with a manual emergency pumping function in the event of a power failure.

Frequently asked questions about AdBlue® pumps

AdBlue® (urea solution AUS 32) is an aggressive, aqueous liquid that corrodes many metals – especially copper, zinc and brass. Standard diesel pumps or oil pumps are therefore not suitable. AdBlue® pumps are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, polypropylene (PP) or PVDF. All hoses, seals and nozzles must also be AdBlue®-resistant.
A diaphragm pump (e.g. PREMAxx Set, MATO SB) sits outside the container and draws the AdBlue® up – self-priming, up to around 3 m suction height. A submersible pump (e.g. PIUSI SQUALO35) is submerged directly in the IBC container and pushes the medium upwards – no suction problems, a compact design, low-maintenance. Submersible pumps are especially suitable for IBC containers, since no external suction hose is needed.
Many AdBlue® pumps are also approved for water, antifreeze and radiator antifreeze. AdBlue® pumps must not be used for diesel or oil – the medium would contaminate the pump and render it unusable. Never use a pump that has once been operated with AdBlue® for fuels, as urea crystals can cause damage to injection systems.
AdBlue® crystallises as it dries out and can damage pumps, hoses and nozzles. After every use, flush the pump through with clear water and empty it. Store hoses and nozzles dry and protected from dust. At temperatures below −11 °C, AdBlue® freezes – in that case, empty the pump and lines completely or keep them frost-protected.
SEC (Standard Euro Coupling) and CDS (Common Dry System) are standardised coupling systems for AdBlue® connections on IBC containers and drums. They enable a dry, drip-free connection without spillage – important, since AdBlue® can damage surfaces and vehicle parts. Many HORNET and Samoa pump systems use SEC or CDS couplings for secure, quick connections.
For occasional single refuellings, a hand pump or rotary pump (manual) is enough. For 1–5 trucks a day, 19–35 l/min is sufficient (e.g. PIUSI Suzzarablue, MATO SB). For fleets with frequent refuelling, 48–57 l/min is recommended (HORNET W85H INOX, Flux Juniorflux). As a guide: a 40-litre tank is filled in under a minute at 50 l/min.
