Drum pumps for oil, diesel, chemicals & AdBlue®

Electric, air-operated and manual drum pumps from Flux, Jessberger, MATO and PIUSI – for the safe and clean extraction from 60 and 200 L drums. For mineral oils, fuels, acids, alkalis, AdBlue® and many other media.

✅ 49 – 240 l/min flow rate ✅ Manual · electric · air-operated · battery ✅ For oils, chemicals & AdBlue® ✅ ATEX versions for petrol available

Electric & battery

Flux Juniorflux/Combiflux (230V and battery) and Jessberger JP pump sets for the continuous extraction from drums and IBC containers – up to 240 l/min, for mineral oils, AdBlue® and chemicals.

Manual & air-operated

The MATO HP 202 hand piston pump for oil drums (50–200 L) and the MATO RP 100-EX aluminium rotary pump for petrol. PIUSI air-operated piston pumps for high-viscosity oils from 200 L steel drums.

Chemicals & acids

Jessberger JP-160/180/280 PP (HC) made of chemical-resistant polypropylene – for acids, alkalis, salts, solvents and toxic media. Flux pump sets for acids with a mechanical seal.

ATEX & safety

The PIUSI Panther EX 56 Drum with ATEX certification for petrol from the 200 L drum – with a K33 meter, 4 m ATEX hose and telescopic tube. The Flux FP 425 Ex for 99.98% residual emptying.

Which drum pump suits which application?

🛢️

Mineral oils & fuels

For diesel, heating oil and mineral-oil products from 200 L steel drums: Jessberger JP-280 ALU with an aluminium nozzle (112 l/min) or the Flux FEM-4070 pump set (220 l/min) – rugged and durable.

⚙️

Engine oil & gear oil

For lubricants from small oil drums: MATO HP 202 as a stationary or mobile hand piston pump – 200 ccm/stroke, for hydraulic, engine and gear oils. With a rubber hose and trolley.

⚗️

Acids & alkalis

For aggressive chemicals: Jessberger JP-160/180/280 PP (HC) made of polypropylene with a high-performance plastic pump. For acids, alkalis, salts and solvents up to 400 mPas viscosity.

💧

AdBlue® & urea

For AdBlue® and urea solution: Flux Juniorflux / Combiflux in a PP version (seal-less) or with a battery motor – for drums and IBC containers up to 85 l/min. Low-maintenance and media-tight.

🔥

Petrol & ATEX

For petrol from the 200 L drum, only ATEX-certified drum pumps: the PIUSI Panther EX 56 Drum (230V or 12V, 50 l/min) with a K33 meter and ATEX hose, or the MATO RP 100-EX rotary pump.

🔬

Laboratory & special media

For laboratory media, foodstuffs and cleaning: the Jessberger JP-132 laboratory pump set in stainless steel or PP – for acids, alkalis, spirits and aqueous solutions. The Flux F 427 for hygiene applications.

Frequently asked questions about drum pumps

For standard drums with a 2" bung opening (R 2" thread), most drum pumps can be used directly. Electric suction-tube pumps (Flux, Jessberger) are offered with suction-tube lengths of 700–1200 mm – for 200 L drums, 1000–1200 mm is ideal. Air-operated piston pumps (PIUSI, GRACO) are likewise inserted through the bung. Hand piston pumps (MATO HP 202) are designed specifically for 50–60 L drums.
Seal-less drum pumps (e.g. the Flux Juniorflux F314 PP) have no mechanical shaft seals. This has several advantages: no leakage risk from worn seals, low-maintenance (no seal changes needed), and suitable for aggressive media that would attack seal materials. Downside: slightly lower pressure performance than pumps with a mechanical seal.
For aggressive chemicals, pumps made of chemical-resistant polypropylene (PP) or PVDF are required – not metal or standard plastic pumps. Proven models are the Jessberger JP series PP (HC) for acids, alkalis and salts, and Flux pump sets for acids and alkalis. What is always decisive is the media compatibility of the pump material with the specific substance.
Mechanical seal: mechanical sealing of the rotating shaft – higher pressure and delivery head possible, but a regular seal change is needed and it is a wear part. Seal-less (canned motor): motor and pump separated by a containment shell – no wear, no leakage risk, low-maintenance. Ideal for valuable or aggressive media. For daily use with aggressive media, seal-less is clearly preferable.
Yes – for petrol, kerosene and other highly flammable liquids, only ATEX-certified drum pumps are approved. Standard electric motors are not suitable for petrol and pose a fire hazard. Suitable models are the PIUSI Panther EX 56 Drum (230V/12V, ATEX) and the MATO RP 100-EX aluminium rotary pump (no motor, for smaller quantities).
Residual emptying indicates what percentage of the drum contents the pump can extract. Standard pumps achieve around 90–95% emptying. Special residual-emptying pumps such as the Flux FP 425 Ex S-41/34 achieve up to 99.98% residual emptying – especially important with valuable or expensive media, where as little as possible should remain in the drum. The angled suction tube reaches into the lowest area of the drum base.
