Pneumatic grease guns for 400 g, 500 g & Lube-Shuttle® cartridges – up to 600 bar

Pneumatic grease guns for professional lubrication service – from the compact Samoa DFP 500 (400 g cartridge or loose grease, €197.50) through the MATO Lube-Shuttle® one-hand grease gun (single-shot, 480 bar) to the DFP 1000 (1000 cc) and the MATO LubeJet-eco grease sprayer. Pressure ratio 1:60, up to 600 bar working pressure.

✅ 400 g pull-off · 500 g screw-in · Lube-Shuttle® ✅ Up to 600 bar working pressure ✅ One-hand operation · single-shot ✅ Samoa · MATO

Samoa DFP 500 & DFP 1000

Samoa DFP 500 (€197.50) for 400 g cartridges (pull-off) or loose grease, 500 cc, 600 bar, 1:60, G1/8". Large-volume Samoa DFP 1000 (€300) with a 1000 cc single-stroke system for a larger grease reserve. Both compact, for compressed air of 2–6 bar.

MATO Lube-Shuttle® – one-hand, single-shot

The MATO Lube-Shuttle® one-hand pneumatic grease gun (€210.50) works with the air-free Lube-Shuttle® cartridge system (1 cc/stroke, single-shot system), 480 bar operating pressure, an M10×1 connection thread, for greases up to NLGI 3.

DFP 500 PAT-SHV – safety package

The DFP 500 PAT-SHV (€361.96) is designed for 500 g screw-in cartridges, incl. a 300 mm safety armoured hose and a 4-jaw professional coupler, 3 cm³/stroke, 2–6 bar inlet pressure. A fully equipped complete package for immediate use.

MATO LubeJet-eco – grease sprayer

The MATO LubeJet-eco (€400.50) is not a classic lubrication device but a grease sprayer for open lubrication points (chains, gears, guides) – air-operated, for Lube-Shuttle® cartridges, spraying grease as a fine mist.

The right pneumatic grease gun for your application

Choosing the cartridge format

400 g pull-off (DIN 1284): Samoa DFP 500 – the standard format, the cheapest cartridges, also suitable for loose grease. 500 g screw-in: DFP 500 PAT-SHV – slightly more grease, a screw closure. Lube-Shuttle®: MATO – an air-free system, the cleanest cartridge change, no grease loss.

🤜

One-hand operation – MATO Lube-Shuttle®

The MATO Lube-Shuttle® one-hand grease gun (€210.50) is designed for one-hand operation – one hand holds and operates the gun, the other holds on. Ideal for lubrication points overhead or in hard-to-reach areas.

📏

DFP 500 or DFP 1000?

DFP 500 (500 cc): for lubrication tasks with one cartridge per use – more compact, lighter. DFP 1000 (1000 cc): double the capacity for operations with many lubrication points per round or for loose grease.

🛡️

Complete set – DFP 500 PAT-SHV

The DFP 500 PAT-SHV (€361.96) comes ready for immediate use: gun + 300 mm safety armoured hose + 4-jaw professional coupler included. For 500 g screw-in cartridges, 3 cm³/stroke – no need to buy accessories separately.

LubeJet-eco – spraying instead of nipples

The MATO LubeJet-eco (€400.50) sprays grease onto open lubrication points – chains, gears, guide rails – air-operated with a Lube-Shuttle® cartridge. A supplement to the nipple grease gun, not a replacement for it.

🔌

Pneumatic vs. battery-powered grease gun

Pneumatic: no battery, cheaper, continuous operation without a charging break – but a compressed-air connection is needed. Battery: fully mobile, no compressed-air connection required – for outdoor and mobile use. With an existing compressed-air system, the pneumatic grease gun is the simpler and cheaper solution.

Frequently asked questions about pneumatic grease guns

With the single-stroke system, a defined quantity of grease is dispensed per actuation – e.g. 1 cc/stroke (MATO Lube-Shuttle®) or 3 cm³/stroke (DFP 500 PAT-SHV). This enables precise dosing: the operator knows exactly how much grease has been pressed into each grease nipple. With continuous operation, grease flows for as long as the trigger is pressed. For critical lubrication points with a defined quantity of grease, the single-stroke system is preferable.
The Lube-Shuttle® system has an integrated internal piston in the cartridge – no grease escapes when inserting and removing, and no air pockets form in the cartridge. Advantages: a clean cartridge change without grease loss, air-bubble-free lubrication (no air bubbles in the line), a clean appearance. Disadvantage: Lube-Shuttle® cartridges are more expensive than standard pull-off cartridges.
A safety armoured hose is a high-pressure grease hose with a steel-braid sheathing and an additional outer protective cover. In the event of a hose burst under high pressure (400–600 bar), the steel sheathing remains intact and prevents uncontrolled whipping. Recommended for grease guns above 200 bar for occupational-safety reasons. The DFP 500 PAT-SHV already includes a 300 mm safety armoured hose in the scope of delivery.
Samoa DFP 500 and PAT-SHV: 2–6 bar (max. 10 bar). MATO Lube-Shuttle®: 3–8 bar. That corresponds to the standard workshop compressed-air system (typically 6–8 bar). The output pressure (grease) is the pressure ratio × inlet pressure – at 6 bar and 1:60 that gives 360 bar at the grease nipple. For difficult nipples, use the full inlet pressure.
Yes – the Samoa DFP 500 is explicitly suitable for 400 g cartridges or loose grease. This means: the grease container can be filled directly with lubricating grease from the bucket – cheaper than cartridges with high grease consumption. Filling with loose grease is a little more laborious but saves cartridge material and allows the use of large containers.
The LubeJet-eco is not a classic nipple lubrication device but sprays grease as a fine mist onto open sliding and rolling surfaces. Areas of application: drive chains (agricultural machinery, industrial plants), open gears, wire ropes, guide rails and linear guides, pivot bearings without a grease nipple. Air-operated, for a Lube-Shuttle® cartridge – as a supplement to the nipple grease gun, not as a replacement. For nipple lubrication you additionally need one of the DFP grease guns.
