Grease nipples & couplers

Nozzle tubes & angle adapters

Which grease nipple – H1, H2 or H3?

H1 (straight, DIN 71412A): standard, screwed in vertically. H2 (45°, DIN 71412B): for points accessible at an angle. H3 (90°, DIN 71412C): lateral access. All R1/8" threads, galvanised. Individually (from €0.42) or an assortment box of 110–475 pcs.

Safety couplers – when are they needed?

Standard 4-jaw couplers can slip off under high pressure. Safelock (€39), safeLOCK-L (€49) and Quick-Fix (€49) lock mechanically. Recommended for high-pressure lubrication and overhead use.

Hose length by application

300 mm: compact work. 500 mm: workshop standard. 1–3.5 m: stationary systems/trucks. 6.5–10 m: high-pressure lubrication stations. From 100 bar, always use a safety armoured rubber hose RH – never a plastic hose.

CLS connector R1/4" ISO 7241B DN6 (€30.50) and CLS hydraulic coupling (€73.50) – standardised quick couplings for centralised lubrication systems. Pressure-tight, tool-free connection with automatic closing on disconnection.

Frequently asked questions about lubrication-system accessories

All three to DIN 71412 with an R1/8" thread. The difference: the angle. H1 (0° straight): press directly vertically. H2 (45°): points accessible at an angle. H3 (90°): lateral access. Standard: H1 as the rule, H2/H3 for hard-to-reach lubrication points.
PH-30 plastic (€7.80): light use, low pressures. RH safety rubber: steel-braid inserts, and if it bursts the outer casing stays intact – no uncontrolled whipping. RH-30C: 1,650 bar burst pressure. From 100 bar, use a safety armoured rubber hose as a matter of principle.
A standardised quick coupling ISO 7241B DN6 / R1/4" for centralised lubrication systems. Pressure-tight, tool-free connection without grease loss – internal valves close automatically on disconnection. The standard interface between the lubricant container, filler units and the supply line of the CLS.
A nozzle tube (150 mm straight/bent) extends the reach between the gun and the nipple. With a 4-jaw coupler: it latches automatically. With a quick-change coupling: switch the coupler quickly (pointed to 4-jaw, between the push-on coupling sizes SK10/16/22). Very time-saving when frequently changing nipple type.
A push-on coupling (SK-10M10, SK-22M10) is a special coupler for flat grease nipples – in contrast to conical grease nipples (DIN 71412), flat grease nipples have a flat, cylindrical head. The push-on coupling is pushed onto the flat head and seals laterally. Flat grease nipples are frequently found on agricultural machinery, construction machinery and older industrial plants. SK-10 (10 mm head width) and SK-22 (22 mm) for different flat-grease-nipple sizes.
A grease meter measures the dispensed grease quantity precisely in grams or cubic centimetres. Useful for: maintenance documentation (proof of correct lubrication), defined grease-quantity specifications per the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, cost control with high grease consumption and for the certification of maintenance services. The flow indicator (€74.50) only shows whether grease is flowing. The DIGMET E35 (€294.50) counts cumulatively. PIUSI K200 (€357) and PIUSI Greaster (€514) measure directly in grams/kg with a calibration option.
