The Rietbergwerke QUADRO-BLUE 1800 is a mobile, double-walled diesel tank unit with a capacity of 1,800 l and an integrated 125 l AdBlue® tank, available as a complete package with 12/24 V or 230 V pumps. The diesel equipment comprises limit value sensor, pump, 6 m power cable, 6 m hose assembly with angled swivel joint, automatic nozzle and PZ300 meter; the AdBlue® equipment consists of pump, power cable, 6 m hose assembly and manual nozzle. According to the manufacturer the 12/24 V diesel pump delivers 35/70 l/min nominal (30/50 l/min effective) and the 230 V diesel pump 56 l/min (52 l/min effective); the AdBlue® pumps deliver 35/30 l/min (24 V, can also be run on 12 V) or 32/29 l/min (230 V). The container measures 2400 × 1200 × 1188 mm (L × W × H) and weighs 805 kg according to the manufacturer's table. It holds an unlimited UN approval as an IBC (D/BAM/16125/31A; ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG Code) and the general building authority approval Z-38.12-223 as a storage tank.

Nominal flow rate = manufacturer's rating at free outflow; effective = determined by the manufacturer at 1 m suction height with a 4 m delivery hose and automatic nozzle. The PZ300 meter is not approved for trade use. The weight stated applies to the container; the manufacturer does not state a weight for the complete package. The manufacturer's statement on transport without dangerous goods marking only applies up to 1000 l of diesel and therefore not to this tank size. What is the difference between the Quadro-Blue 1800L and the Quadro-Blue 2700L?
Both are Rietberg combination tank systems for diesel and AdBlue with identical construction (double-walled, UN-approved, 12V/24V or 230V pump selectable). The difference lies solely in the total volume: the 1800L tank is designed for medium-sized vehicle fleets and haulage companies with a daily requirement of up to approx. 500 liters of diesel. The 2700L tank offers 50% more capacity for larger businesses or infrequent refilling intervals. For businesses with up to 20 vehicles per day, the 1800L is generally sufficient; for larger fleets we recommend the 2700L.
How is the volume of the Quadro-Blue 1800L divided between diesel and AdBlue?
The Quadro-Blue 1800L is divided into a larger diesel chamber and a smaller AdBlue chamber. For the exact volume split, please refer to the current product description – typically approx. 90–95% is allocated to diesel and approx. 5–10% to AdBlue, which corresponds to the real consumption ratio of modern Euro 6 vehicles (approx. 5–7L AdBlue per 100L diesel). What pump options are available for the Quadro-Blue 1800L?
The Quadro-Blue 1800L is available with three pump versions: 12V (for vehicles with a 12-volt on-board electrical system: cars, vans, tractors), 24V (for trucks, buses and heavy construction machinery with a 24-volt on-board electrical system) and 230V (for stationary installation sites with a mains power connection). The pumps for diesel and AdBlue are separate units, since AdBlue places special demands on materials and must not come into contact with diesel pump components. All three variants can be selected directly on this page.
What approvals do I need for the Quadro-Blue 1800L with diesel?
With 1800 liters of diesel (WGK 2, hazard level C) (German water hazard class 2), the following steps are required: notification to the lower water authority (untere Wasserbehörde) at least 6 weeks before commissioning (Section 40 AwSV), initial inspection by a recognized expert organization (SVO) before commissioning, and recurring inspections every 5 years. May the Quadro-Blue 1800L be transported filled on public roads?
Yes – the Quadro-Blue has a UN/ADR transport approval. With 1800 liters of diesel, it is above the ADR exemption limit of 450 liters, so the full ADR requirements apply: the driver's ADR certificate, orange warning plate, written instructions (emergency information sheet) and a suitable fire extinguisher. The AdBlue portion must be declared and marked separately as UN 3082 (Class 9, environmentally hazardous substance).
